Music History

When i was small i was never really interested in music.
Could never dance to it or enjoy it. When i was 14 i get to know Reggae music, a new world opened to me. At 16 i bought my first Bass guitar and i am playing ever since.

When i was 18 i did try to find some people to start a band and i moved to Zwolle. There i found some musicians' but it was only jamming, still very nice in these days. I also met Jah Creations a little Reggae shop. With them i started touring with famous Jamaican artist selling records and Rasta merchandise.
From this i learned a lot musically i saw the same show over and over and started to overstand the runnings.

At 21 i went back to Deventer and bought myself a keyboard and a Atari with cubase. Now i could make my own songs.
There were always a lot of Bass players in my surrounding since i get my key's i played in a lot of bands. ( Check Band History )
There were some singers around me who liked the music i made.
So i went to the studio with my Atari and recorded everything on tape. Here i am 23. The singers couldn't really give mi what i wanted, but because of this project i get in touch with the trancelators, a backing band from Almelo.
To find quality singers was always a problem to me, and i found it hard to satisfy with less.

So i started playing in bands and worked on my skills as a keyboard player.
During this time i made some riddims that we played with the different bands i was playing in.
So know my riddims get played and the people were enjoying it.
This was the main reason why i make music, for the people. I wanted my music to be heard.

But after some time, i am 28 here, i didn't see any progress. So i did try to work with other Dutch bands. Over here music is like a hobby to most people. It is hard to make a living in the Dutch reggae music scene and to find professional people to work with. So i continue to play in bands but i focus more on my own music.

At the age of 29 I met some one who made a big studio. He put everything there what i needed to work with.
We even had a waterfall inside and two big chesterfields.
He always told me he had some good connections with the music industry but there was never nobody coming So for the meanwhile i was recording some local people.
Trying to make it work. But it was to much for me alone to do. The bills where to high. So i found the door lock changed 1 day. After all my hard works i couldn't even get to my own stuff any more. So i had to move on. Lost all my music everything.

After a while i get back some of small things, and i started to build my own studio at my house.
Well now i was 32 in full control, i thought.
But the system was putting up the pressure on me saying i have to make money.
So i registrated a compagny and had to charge people by the hour to make music with me.

All kind of different people and styles of music i experienced this period.
But same story again. Not the friend i work with but the system is telling me now i am not allowed to continue. They even told me i cannot make music any more because then they will think i make black money.
Now i had a studio at my house and was forbidden to make music with others.
So i concentrated on my own music again. At the 33 i made some nice songs and met a good female artist from london. I recorded 11 real nice songs with her.

Because of this project i was able to work with King Shiloh and Black star Foundation. King Shiloh is the #1 Sound system in the Netherlands. Black star foundation is the #1 organizer. Because this is a none profit organization i could work with them without worrying about the system.
For Black star foundation i produced a album with a singer from Ghana named Osagyefo.

This album is called blaze fire and it went straight to #1 on www.bol.com 2007/2008
I made a profile on www.myspace.com and my site is just booming.
I get 9000 profile views in less then 3 months 2200 friends and 600 positive comments on my music.

It is like a new world gone open for me. I can find a lot of singers real easy now. Already 2 Jamaican singers came to me to record. Winston Mc Anuff and Mabrakat.

Also i did sent my riddims to 14 good singers who i expect will send me something good back.
75 Radio stations and Sound systems are playing my music now globally.
So i got hopes for a musical future!
